Hope you manage to get it Jonny.

Rob, thanks very much for following the blog and adding a link to your blog. I will do likewise with yours, and will always keep on track with it :). No tail?! That must have been an odd spectacle!

Cheers,

JosephJoseph Nicholshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01105829078247550891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2980474812359298851.post-80678597042625618252010-12-15T18:29:01.293+00:002010-12-15T18:29:01.293+00:00Hi Joseph , like your new blog and added a link to...Hi Joseph , like your new blog and added a link to it from my blog , cool photo of the Glaucous gull , i saw one at Dungeness recently and it had no tail !!! still it did not seem to hinder it , have photos on my blog if you fancy a look. atb RobRobs Birdinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18146693795613856829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2980474812359298851.post-23805508899262516362010-12-14T18:52:13.591+00:002010-12-14T18:52:13.591+00:00Great read mate and fab shots of the gull, lucky y...Great read mate and fab shots of the gull, lucky you ;) I still need it for the yearlistJonny Scragghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15959149126312691751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2980474812359298851.post-40461178288260764582010-12-13T18:33:08.405+00:002010-12-13T18:33:08.405+00:00Hi Mark,

I can see your trail of thought there; it did seem surprisingly daintier looking than I thought, which, as you said, could well mean its a female.

ATB,

JosephJoseph Nicholshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01105829078247550891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2980474812359298851.post-37736423487604596172010-12-13T09:56:11.010+00:002010-12-13T09:56:11.010+00:00Glad you caught up with the glauc Joseph, and got ...Glad you caught up with the glauc Joseph, and got some nice photos! While we can't say for sure, I think the bird is probably a female. With these larger gulls, females are often smaller and daintier than the males....it can be pretty obvious in pairs of herring gulls on Aberdeen rooftops.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08349873279320621419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2980474812359298851.post-26149374552613566602010-12-12T22:31:12.133+00:002010-12-12T22:31:12.133+00:00Thank you Ash!
